DOMESTICATED ANIMAL DIVERSITY........kerala(india)

Domesticated animals are important assets in the rural areas of kerala.in addition to cats,
                                                dogs,
                                         


pet 
 birds,.......



                            rabbits etc.
 
  domestic animals also includes cows,

                                               goats....

 

                      and paultry.






along with nondescript type of goats,other recognised goat specious in kerala is MALABARI breed,native to north malabar.

the ducks natives to kerala are named CHARA and CHEMBALI.

Vechoor cattle,named after the vechoor village in kottayam district where they are orginally found.they are very popular for their comparitively high yield of high fat milk,low fodder requirment and higher resistance to diseases,including the foot and mouth diseases.
